Our community is situated to the south of the City of Stoke-on-Trent, between the towns of Hanley and Longton.

The City of Stoke-on-Trent is also known as the 'Potteries' due to its long term association with the ceramic manufacturing industry. Sadly, many of the ceramic manufacturers are no longer in business.

Bentilee is probably one of the largest housing estates in the country with around 4,000 houses. However, on it's border at Willfield, there is the beautiful Park Hall Country Park, with its National Nature Reserve and Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI). Within Park Hall Country Park is an 18 hole golf course, all par 3, ideal for the novice golfer. From the golf course there are scenic views over the rolling hills to the rest of the city.

The Nature Reserve at Park Hall Country Park, once a quarry, is now home to many birds: kestrels, short-eared owls, little owls, robins, blue tits, great tits, bullfinches, greenfinches and many more. Foxes roam the area, as do the elusive badger. There are also many insects which hover around the pools around the nature reserve, such as dragonflies and many species of butterfly.

The Visitor Centre on Park Hall Country Park regularly hosts events for both children and adults, which include pond dipping, bat walks and workshops to learn how to build a bird box.
